About Margaret
Romantic Novelist
Well, since you've made it this far, let me tell you some things about me. Also, feel free to get in touch any time, just remember I can't guarantee anything you tell me won't be used in evidence against you... Or, I should say, get put in a book!
I have to get inspiration from somewhere! And really, it's everywhere! I can't even go to the Supermarket without little scenarios bursting forth in my head!
I started writing when I was just five years old. I wish I could remember what those stories were. My head's permanently full of nonsense and I'm pretty sure that started before five years old. Just ask my mum!
When I look around my little office, I see shelves filled with books. Fiction books, fact books. colouring books, craft books, and more books. My life is full of books and always has been. Yes, I hoard books! Sorry Marie Kondo, but your method doesn't apply in this instance. My books are my books and I won't part with them.
The best bit is some of the books on the shelves were written by me! It never gets old seeing them there. Especially when they sit alongside the scribbled and worn notebooks where the ideas started.
And you can read them too. Yes, please do! I am desperate to share them with you. Every story I have written has a place in my heart and I love nothing more than escaping to the pages of these books with the characters I created.
Take a peek and let me know what you think. If you're not sure, then why not sign up to my mailing list and read my free short story? I'll send you newsletters every month and let you know what's happening between the pages.
The Scottish Island Escapes series and The Glenbriar Series are available on Amazon and paperbacks at other bookstores. Plus, I'm in the process of writing a new series on a different island! All the books can be read as standalone and you can dip in and dip out as you please, but if you read from the start, you'll enjoy bumping into the characters as the series evolves.
Thanks for dropping by and I hope to hear from you soon.
